Formation of enamides via palladium(II)-catalyzed vinyl transfer from vinyl ethers to nitrogen nucleophiles.
Palladium(II) complexes catalyze the formation of enamides via the formal cross-coupling reaction between nitrogen nucleophiles and vinyl ethers. These vinyl transfer reactions proceed in good yields with amide, carbamate, and sulfonamide nucleophiles, and the optimal catalyst is (DPP)Pd(OCOCF(3))(2) (DPP = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline). متن کاملConfigurationally stable, enantioenriched organometallic nucleophiles in stereospecific Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions: an alternative approach to asymmetric synthesis
Several research groups have recently developed methods to employ configurationally stable, enantioenriched organometallic nucleophiles in stereospecific Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. By establishing the absolute configuration of a chiral alkyltin or alkylboron nucleophile prior to its use in cross-coupling reactions, new stereogenic centers may be rapidly and reliably generated with p...
متن کاملStereospecific Pd-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling Reactions of Secondary Alkylboron Nucleophiles and Aryl Chlorides
We report the development of a Pd-catalyzed process for the stereospecific cross-coupling of unactivated secondary alkylboron nucleophiles and aryl chlorides. This process tolerates the use of secondary alkylboronic acids and secondary alkyltrifluoroborates and occurs without significant isomerization of the alkyl nucelophile. Optically active secondary alkyltrifluoroborate reagents undergo cro...
متن کاملTheoretical study on the mechanism of hydromethoxylation catalyzed by palladium(II) complex
Palladium (II) coordination complexes catalyze the reaction of alcohols with ketones to yield ethers. During the catalytic cycle, the alcohol adds selectively to the β-carbon (anti-Markovnikov). In this work, mechanism and kinetics for the reaction of methanol with methyl vinyl ketone (MVK), being catalyzed by Pd, has been theoretically investigated in detail. Using quantum mechanical approach,...
